Woodard "WK" King Lewis, Jr.

Woodard King “WK” Lewis Jr., 77, of Supply, NC passed away on Monday, the ninth of May 2022 in his home. WK passed from natural causes while under the care of Community Home Care and Hospice after suffering from dementia for a number of years, a cruel and debilitating disease. In WK’s final months he stole the hearts of new friends providing care for him as he did with so many he came in contact with throughout life, the family would like to recognize and extend a special “Thank you” to the amazing care team who was by their side; Kelsey McLaughlin, Courtney Beck and the one that brought life back into our home with her expert professional care and truly loving consideration, Laronica Brice.

WK was born in Lumberton, NC on the sixth of March 1945. He was a long term resident of Lumberton before retiring and relocating to their favorite vacation destination, Holden Beach (Supply). Born to the late Annie Lucille Faulk Lewis and Woodard King Lewis Sr. WK was preceded in death by brother, Tim Sherwood Lewis. WK is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Lovette Lewis; son, Stoney Lewis and daughter-in-law Lisa of Supply, NC; a daughter, Sheila McCray of the home; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth “Beth” Kerr (Eric Kerr), Tiffany Lewis, Joshua McCray (Rhonda McCray); 8 great-grandchildren, Dominic Kerr, Skylar Kerr, Brianna Hunt, BJ Hunt, Jordan Ivey, Lauren Seaman, Dylan McCray and Dalton McCray; 1 great-great-grandchild, Kayden Bass.

The family will not be hosting a public memorial service per WK’s final wishes, WK’s ashes will be scattered in the NC mountains.
