William Gibson

Mr. William Gibson, 76, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Bolivia, NC. He was born November 15, 1947, in Huntersville, NC, a son of the late Mason and Kizzie Gibson. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Nora Ann Gibson.

Funeral services for Mr. Gibson will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in the Winston Chapel of Holland Funeral Service, 806 Circle Drive Monroe, NC 28112 with burial to follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Gibson retired from Harris Teeter Distribution Center in Indian Trail, NC. He was a profound coon hunter. He loved animals and was a farmer.

Mr. Gibson is survived by a son, William Edward Gibson, a daughter Fran Gibson Helms (LJ), grandchildren, Caleb Birmingham, Jacob Birmingham (Jennifer), Sarah Birmingham, great-grandchildren, Johnny Birmingham, Stockton Birmingham, Stetson Birmingham, Sutton Birmingham, stepchildren, Kelly Reaves (Steve), Bryan Irwin,(Leslie), Darrel Irwin, step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Golden, Steven Reaves.
