Victor F. Wilbert, Jr., 78, of Cranston, RI and Supply, NC, passed away peacefully in Shallotte, NC after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Corrigan Wilbert for twenty years.
Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Victor F. and Amelia (Stanley) Wilbert.
Victor graduated from Cranston West High School, and he attended the University of Rhode Island.
Victor was president and co-owner of Scope Display and Box Company in Cranston with his brother Stephen.
Victor was an avid car enthusiast, He was a thirty-year member of the Rolls Royce Owners Club, Yankee Region, as well as the Italian Sports Car Club. Victor and Nancy participated in many meets throughout New England with his Rolls Royce Corniche convertible, Bentley GT coupe and Lamborghini Jalpa, garnering many awards.
Victor had a love for life and travel. He and Nancy made many trips to the Caribbean, Canada, Europe and the United States. Victor loved art, fine dining and was a bespoke dresser.
Besides his wife Nancy and brother Stephen, he leaves a sister, Marianne, sister-in-law Mary and a nephew Steve.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
