Air Force SMSgt. Michael Bradley Sellers, Retired, age 56, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Taipei City, Taiwan on the morning of November 18, 2024.
He was born on July 26, 1968 in New Hanover County, NC and was the son of Stacey Garrett Sellers, Jr. and Elaine Clemmons Sellers Wright.
Brad, as his friends and family knew him, was predeceased by his father, paternal grandparents, Stacey Garrett and Florrie Watson Sellers, Sr., maternal grandparents, Edwin and Theodocia Lancaster Clemmons, and his step-father, J. B. Wright.
Brad was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
Brad is survived by his loving wife Yoyo Chen, his mother Elaine Wright, 3 children: Crisha, Hannah, Cullen, 3 grandchildren: Stella, Jameson, Ivy. Also step-children: Sean, Ruby and Jerry.
Brad graduated from South Brunswick High School and shortly thereafter join the Air Force in 1991 and retired in 2011. His first duty station was at Misawa Air Force Base in Japan. Later he was stationed at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. Returning to the States he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base where he was assigned as Security Police to the Presidential aircrafts of Presidents Clinton and Bush. His last assignment prior to retirement was as the personal bodyguard of the Secretary of the Air Force at the Pentagon.
Brad loved three things—hunting, the Clemson tigers, but above all, his grandchildren.
Brad’s wishes were to be cremated and his ashes to remain in Taiwan with his wife’s family.
