Thomas Booth, II Obituary

Thomas Hamlor Booth II, affectionately known as Tom, lived a life full of love, faith, and joyful purpose. Born on January 19, 1952, in Bluefield, West Virginia, Tom was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who radiated warmth and generosity to those who knew him. He entered eternal rest on January 1, 2025, at the age of 72, surrounded by the love of his family and the compassionate care of Lower Cape Fear Life Care, Brunswick House.

Tom’s life was a tapestry of faith, service, and connection. A proud member of Faith PCA Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach, Tom found great joy in teaching Sunday School at Grace Free Presbyterian in Winston-Salem, sharing his love for God and his wisdom with those around him. He was also a talented radio host when residing in Winston-Salem, NC, using his voice to uplift, inform, and inspire. A lifelong collector of Pittsburgh Pirates memorabilia and an avid fan of baseball, Tom brought the same passion to cheering for his team as he did to spending quality time with his family and friends. Whether on the golf course, listening to classical music, in his church community, or at family gatherings, Tom’s humor and kind-hearted nature left a lasting impression.

Tom shared 16 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Anne Macarthur Booth. Together, they built a legacy of love and faith that continues to shine brightly through their family. He is deeply missed by his two sons, Tommy H. Booth III, married to Layne; and Chaz Booth, married to Corina, and his treasured grandchildren: Elsa (11), Bailey (6), Thomas H. Booth IV (2), and Vincent (10) and Ada Booth (9). Tom’s family was the heart of his world, and his proudest moments were those spent laughing, guiding, and sharing life with them.

A memorial service to honor Tom’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Presbyterian Church, 805 79th Avenue N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
