Susan (Carpenter) Holden

Susan Carpenter Holden, age 68 of Albemarle, NC passed away on Saturday, the twenty fourth of August 2024, at her daughters’ home.

Susan was born on the eighteenth of July 1956 in Albemarle, NC to the late James Hugh Carpenter and late Juanita Baucom Carpenter.

She attended North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC. Susan was a sewing machine operator for many years. She was an avid crafter, enjoying sewing plastic canvas. Susan enjoyed watching westerns, watching her nieces Kayda and Elizabeth dance and her granddaughter, Akylah perform her Oboe performances.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Ophelia Holden Anderson, her granddaughter, Akylah Ophelia Anderson, “KiKi”; her brother, James Carpenter, her special sister, Juanita Wilder “Nita”, and sister Sally; special nieces, Renda (David) Lowder, Jennifer (Phillip) Baucom and four special great nieces and nephew: Samantha, Matthew, Kayda and Elizabeth.

Susan requested that no services be held. However, cards of condolences may be sent to Ophelia Anderson at 6962 Reed Trail NW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.
