Steve Anderson Piggott

Steve Anderson Piggott, age 61, of Whiteville, NC passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in the Columbus County Hospital.

Steve was born in Whiteville, NC on August 14, 1962, to Henry Piggott and Jennie Mae Piggott Campbell.

Steve was predeceased by his father, Henry Piggott, dad, Johnny Campbell Sr, mother, Jennie Mae Campbell, sister Catherine Brown, and a nephew Andre Brown.

Steve spent many years on the road during his career as a long-distance truck driver until he was forced to retire due to his declining health.  He enjoyed being on the road, but when he was at home, he loved being among family and friends.  He was the “jokester” of the family and loved being the center of attention.  He played the guitar and truly relished the time he was able to spend deep sea fishing.  He led a full life, complete with love and laughter.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Steve Anderson Burrell, his brothers, Johnny Leon Campbell Jr (Melisa), Aaron Dale Campbell (Monica), Curtis Meyers (Janet), his aunt Cathern Felix (Ralph), and a host of nieces, nephews, family/friends.

A memorial for Steve will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM, in the Mill Branch Baptist Church, 645 Harrelsonville Road, Whiteville, NC 28472.
