Steve Nelson Hardy

Steve Nelson Hardy, 58, of Shallotte, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Bolivia, NC. surrounded by loving family and friends.

Steve was born in Southport, NC on July 17, 1964 and was a son of the late Lawrence Hardy and Jo Ann Bryant Grissette. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his Parents/Grandparents Mr William Henry Bryant Sr.and Mrs.Ruby M. Bryant, brother Orie, Don, Otis, and sister Kathi.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

Steve loved his family no matter what and would always lend a helping hand wherever he could.  He loved to tell stories of his childhood with his siblings and had a laugh that no one will ever forget.

Steve is survived by two daughters, Jessica Hardy of Supply NC; Joann Hardy (Dominique) of Winnabow NC ; Three beautiful grandchildren Khamari, Keith (KJ) and Remi;  brothers,  William Henry Bryant Jr (Lois) Mark Bryant (Melodie) both of Shallotte NC, Hardy Bryant (Tracie) of Leland NC, Lionell Bryant and Mickey Bryant both of Seattle WA, Scott Bryant (Miranda) of Supply NC and Fred Stanley (Irene) of Goldsboro NC ; sisters Shonda Johnson of Southport NC Hattie Bryant of Seattle WA, Anna Saunders (Reginald) of Hope Mills, NC Carmel Wheaton (Wellington) of Bahama NC, and Ashlyn Reeves (Shane) of Atlanta GA;  Uncle David Bryant (Gloria);  Aunts Doretha Henry Helen Whitfield (Leland) and Hazel Mitchell Special Friends, Mark Holmes, Michael Stewart, Spencer Fullwood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
