Snooky as EVERYONE knew and called him by was a big part of the Ocean Isle Community well known for his BIG heart and shrimping industry! 

One of his favorite things to do was selling Shrimp and Tomatoes with his grandkids!

When he heard the word Papal it light his world up and put the biggest smile on his face! 

He will be proceeded in death with his Mother; Effie Todd Hegge, Father; Luther Luke Hegge, 2 Sisters; Ruby Hughes and Martha Hegge, Brother; Pete Inman (Sunny boy) Son; Baby boy Hegge, Grandson; Bryan Keith Lawson and Great Grandson; Luke Ray Harrison. 

He is survived by a Sister; Doris Hughes, a Brother; Junior Inman (Vicki) and will hold much love and memories in the hearts of his children Jason Hegge, Dean Hegge, and daughter Gloria German (Kevin). Grandchildren; Sage Hegge, Kenneth Lawson , Kyle Hegge, LeeAnna Harrison, Joshua Hegge and Kimberly German. Great Grandchildren; Trevor, Greyson, Levi, Mackenzie, Brenlee, Lucas, Elijah and Lennon. 

We love you very much and will always remember the amazing father, Papal, friend, and light you were in everyones lives. Your love, laughter, strength, and memories will stay with us forever. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished by everyone who had the blessing of knowing you. 

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. with funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
