Robert Joseph Briley

Robert passed away December 20 2024 at age of 90, with the love of his wife and 2 daughters at his bedside.

Robert was born in Pitt County to Ethel and Samuel Wheeler Briley! He will forever be remembered by his wife of 41 years Cynthia, Jenny Passmore (William), Ramona Briley Ward(Johnny).

He is also survived by his brothers James Briley, Clayton Briley (Asenath),Samuel Wheeler Briley Jr.(Charlotte), his sisters Iris Taylor (Jim),Betty Lou Pittman (Earl), 5 grand children, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by parents Ethel and Samuel Wheeler Briley, his brother Jerry Briley, sisters Jean Lewis and Lorene McDowell, a sister-in-law Millie Briley and 1 great granddaughter Rose Carraher.

He loved the Lord, he was a minister! He was a Kind, quiet, humble man. He was a proud veteran, and served in the Army from October 1956-October 1958! He loved his family. He had many friends. He was a machinist by trade for 60 years. He loved fishing and gardening. He was a good man and good father.

His memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, on January 19, 2025 at Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
