Ricky "Tusker" Dale Caison

Ricky Dale “Tusker” Caison, 65, of Supply, NC passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 26, 2026, at his home.

Tusker was born in Southport, NC, on August 22, 1960, and was one of six children born to the late Rudolph and Margaret Milligan Caison. In addition to his parents, he has preceded in death by his wife, Tonya Reynolds Caison, sisters, Debra Cumbee (Myron), Beverly “Possie” Tatro; brother, Terry Rudolph Caison; brother, Donnie Lee Milligan; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Earl Norton.

He attended West Brunswick High School. Tusker was a true outdoorsman, he lived his life on the water, fishing, clamming oystering and fishing. He loved the Lockwood Folly river and the ocean and was great at collecting it’s bounty of seafood and feeding us all.

Surviving are his sister, Nancy C. Smith and husband William; a sister-in-law, Ellen Milligan; a aunt, Mary Jane Hewett; a uncle, Ronald Milligan and wife Janice; nieces, Tamika Tatro, Regina Lowery, Tonia Long, Michelle Ransom; nephews, Donnie Milligan, Shane Long; great nephew, Brandon Wehrly (Fiancée Samantha) ; great nieces, (twins) Kendall and Kara Stanley; great-great niece, Mia Wehrly; his best and closest friends, Phil “Big Daddy” Dillinger, James Galloway, Gregory “Spooky” Robinson, Johnny Corbett & Connie Evans and Mike Milligan. Also, he will be missed by his beloved feline companions, Caison, Matthew and “Daddy Longlegs”. There will always be a deep and everlasting connection with his brothers and sisters of the water, “the fishermen”.

A double service is being planned to be held in April, for both “Tusker” and “Possie”, and will be announced here when complete.
