Reverend James Everette Daily

Rev. James Everette (Jim) Daily was born December 22, 1938, to Paul Daily and Lola Johnson. James graduated from Rupert High School and grew up in Hines, WV. James’ career calling was in Ministry. He grew up in the Hines Gospel Tabernacle, then attended Rupert United Methodist Church and was a member of the Rupert Rotary Club. James studied at Duke University School of Divinity and pastored several Methodist Churches in Nicholas and Webster Counties in WV. James and Sylvia moved to Semmes, AL after he retired and began attending Crawford United Methodist Church. Even in his retirement he often held Bible Study and gave the sermon at his Church in AL. James touched the lives of many people during his time on earth, he never met a stranger, and showed kindness and love to everyone he met. James is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sylvia, and daughter Rhonda Daily. James is survived by his brother Mike Daily. He was a loving Father to Tim Daily, Danielle Powell, and Crystal Jones; Grandfather to Suzzane Wright, Matthew Daily, Austin Jones, Chayton Jones, Emily Clark, Olivia Dwyer, Ryan Hicks; and Great Grandfather to Gaige Wright, Pyper Wright, Mark Dwyer, Mason Dwyer, Meilah Dwyer, Sunny Faye Daily, and Camilla Jo Daily. James left this earth for his Heavenly home on June 5, 2022 to be reunited with the love of his life and will be missed by many friends and family. A service will be held at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Clintonville, WV on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00am with Rev. Jimmy Groves and John Groves officiating.
