Randy Gale (Reece) Baker

Mrs. Randy Gale Baker, age 74, of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on Saturday the twenty fourth of July 2021 after an extended illness.

Born in Alexandria, VA on the twenty second of October 1946, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Gay Clifton Reece. In addition to her parents, Randy was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Reece and a sister, Loretta Phillips.

Randy was a longtime member of the Methodist church; She believed in her faith, being a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent cook who kept her family fed with their favorite dishes especially for their birthdays. Randy enjoyed taking care of others in numerous ways, from cooking and sharing her cookies during the pandemic to taking friends to hospital appointments. She loved to travel and enjoyed several cruises with her loving husband Donald. Her hobbies included bowling, (she was a member of the Sandpiper Bay Bowling League), golf, watching HGTV, Food Network and she was an accomplished painter. Randy was retired from the Department of Defense as a Personnel Management Analyst in the Army Officer Appeals Branch.

Surviving are her husband of twenty four years, Donald E. Baker, Jr.; a son, Brian Reese of Strasburg, VA; a daughter, Robin Reese Owens, (Pete) of Shallotte, NC; a sister, Jennifer Sheldon of Sumter, SC; grandchildren, Stephanie Clyburn (Wallace), Amanda Owens (Melvin Spady), Aaron Reese, Matt Reese; great grandchildren, Caylin Clyburn, Izabelle Owens, Jazmine Spady and Dezirae Spady.

The family will have a private family visitation and will announce a public Celebration of Life at a later date.
