Preston Vernon Collis, Jr.

Preston Vernon Collis, Jr., age 56, of Supply, NC passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at his residence.

Preston was born in Washington, DC on July 7, 1967 and was a son of the late Preston V. Collis Sr., and Sarah Elizabeth Everett Collis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father, George Holoch, Brother-in-law, Tim Miller, Sr, Sister-in-law, Angela Wallace, and nephews, Tim Miller, Jr. and Alejandro Crespo.

Preston was a contractor and was successful in the residential construction trade.     

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Jerri Brewer Collis; sons, Preston V. “PC” Collis, III and fiancée Jackie Wilson, Bobby Collis and fiancée Rebecca “Becca” Morris, Jeremy Collis; brothers, Joseph Collis, Jimmy Collis, Gregory Jackson; sisters, Shirley Tyson, Sylvia Crespo, Dianne Gunnell, Jenny Miller, Carol McCarter; grandchildren, Emma Collis, Evan Collis; several nieces, nephews to include, Paul Anderson, a nephew Preston helped raise in his teenage years.

A time of visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on  Saturday, November 18, 2023 in the Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 25. 2023 in the River of Life Baptist Church, 8411 Ocean Highway, West, Sunset Beach, NC with the Reverend Michael Borton officiating.
