Phyllis Marie (Ansley) Starnes

Phyllis Marie Ansley Starnes, 76, of Supply, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, Bolivia, NC following a time of declining health.

Born in Chicago, IL, on January 19, 1949, Phyllis was a daughter of the late George William and Lois Faye Johnson Ansley.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James D. Starnes Jr, whom she married in 1982.

Phyllis graduated from High Point Central High School in 1967. She attended Central Piedmont College in Business Administration, Computer Introduction. Retired from Alltel Telephone Corp in 1997. After retirement, she was employed at Carolinas Healthcare Inc, Mercy Hospital and Novant Brunswick Hospital. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by two stepsons, James (Jim) D Starnes, III, (Monroe, NC), Rusty Starnes and wife Susan (Atlanta, GA), Sister-In-Law, Sandy Wyles (Monroe, NC), Brother-In-Law Donnie Linker (Indiana), Mike Linker (Beaufort, SC), Darrell Linker (Monroe, NC) and Carrell Linker (Badin Lake, NC), and step-grandchildren, Anna, James D Starnes, IV, (JD), Noah, Caroline and Samuel (Sam).

In keeping with her wishes, no services are planned.
