Pamela Joan (LaJoie) Dey

Pamela Joan Dey, 62, of Winding River Plantation, Bolivia, NC passed away on Wednesday August 28th, 2024 at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care, “Brunswick House” surrounded by her loving family.  

Pam was born in Portland, Maine on May 29th 1962. Pam resided in New Jersey where she attended high school, graduated nursing school and started her family. After receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer in 2015, Pam moved to North Carolina in 2016 to fulfill her dreams of living by the ocean.  

Pam graduated in 1982 with an Associates of nursing degree and had a wonderful and fulfilling career serving as a pediatric and neonatal nurse for 33 years combined. She began her nursing career at Deborah Heart and Lung Center and compassionately cared for children with congenital heart defects.  

Pam was deeply loved by her father Thomas and late mother Joan Lajoie. She is survived by her two brothers, Steve Lajoie and wife Tracey Lajoie, Chris Lajoie and wife Julie Lajoie and her sister Susan Scoles and husband Robert Scoles. Pam was a devoted mother to her children, Steve and Lauren and their spouses Atara and Tom. Pam’s most proud role was Nana to her four granddaughters, Ryleigh and Zoey Perro, Aurora and Sway Dey and three step grandchildren Devyn, Trey and Maddie Perro. 

Pam will be forever remembered by her bright smile and bold love for the Lord.  She will be truly missed and leaves behind her precious friends and family with a void that can never be filled.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beach Assembly of God, 20 Bliss Road NW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469
