Palmer Rudolph Royal, 91, of Supply, NC passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center following a brief illness.
Palmer was born in Supply, NC on January 10, 1933 and was a son of the late William Lloyd and Linnie Holden Royal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Catherine Royal; sons, Michael Williamson and Ricky Royal; brother, William Hulon Royals; step-sons, Gary Mark Clemmons and Charles Jerold Clemmons; step-daughter, Catherine Diane Duncan; son-in-law, Robert Edward Duncan; and grandson, Matthew Duncan.
He retired as a Technical Sergeant (Chief Airplane Mechanic) in the US Air Force, and began farming afterwards. Palmer was also a longtime member of Supply Baptist Church.
Surviving are his step-son, James Clemmons and wife June; sisters, Janice Kuigre, and Mildred Robinson and husband Blondell; grandchildren, Jeremy Clemmons, Jason Clemmons, Martin Duncan, Kimberly Beth Clemmons, Krista Catherine Clemmons, and Orrey Palmer Clemmons; great-grandchildren, Olivia Grace Clemmons and Adam Clemmons.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in the Supply Baptist Church with Pastor Marty Johnston officiating. Military honors will be provided by the US Air Force Honor Guard.
