Mitchell Dane Quick

Mitchell Dane Quick, 77, of Southport, NC (Boiling Spring Lakes), passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center following a time of declining health.

Mitchell was born on October 1, 1947, and was a son of the late Troy and Catherine Norton Quick.

Mitchell was a retired supervisor with Kizer Aluminum Corp. and was a proud US Army veteran having served in the Viet Nam War. Mitchell was a friend to many who never met a stranger. He loved to talk and always had a smile on his face.  His laugh was infectious, and he spoke his mind. Mitchell was loved deeply by his son and daughter. 

Surviving are his fiancée, Patsy Phelps; a son, Dane Quick (Sherry); a daughter, Lisa Quick Kennedy (Mark); siblings, Sammy Quick (Penny), Annette McCallum, Cathy Belcher (Chuck), David Quick (Linda), Steve Quick (Jane); grandchildren, Bladen Quick, Reagan Quick, Evan Gescat, Olivia Gescat, Regina McDonald, Logan Kennedy and Cory Kennedy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held in Bennettsville, SC at a later date.

The family requests that donations be made in his name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
