Michelle Marie (Gaudet) Edinger

Michelle Marie Edinger, 65, of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on August 28, 2023 after a brief illness.

Michelle was born July 29th, 1958 in New Brunswick, NJ to Eugene Anthony Gaudet and Mary Francis Carto Gaudet of Piscataway, NJ.

Michelle graduated from Trenton State College (now known as The College of New Jersey) with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and started her career as a probation officer for Middlesex County in New Jersey. Though her degree was in Criminal Justice, she had a keen aptitude for sales, thus advancing into various successful sales and sales management positions over the years. She retired in March of 2020.

In addition to enjoying a successful and productive career in sales, she was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed photography, furniture restoration, holidays (especially Christmas), hosting Thanksgiving with friends and family, family reunions, and quality time on the beach.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Edinger of Sunset Beach, NC; a son, Kevin of Denver, CO; a daughter, Jennifer of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Eugene Gaudet of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Patricia Wheeler of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jacqueline Gaudet of Raritan, NJ.

Her parents, Eugene A. Gaudet and Mary Francis Carto Gaudet preceded her in death.

A memorial celebration is being planned for the spring and will be announced here when finalized.v
