Michael Ferraioli

Michael Ferraioli, 83, of Bolivia, NC formerly of Hudson County, NJ passed away on February 11, 2024 at his home.

Michael was born in Newark, NJ on June 12, 1940, and raised in Harrison, NJ, and was a son of the late Charles and Mary Needham Ferraioli. In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by a brother, James Ferraioli.

Mike graduated from Harrison High School, Harrison, NJ, and then from the New Jersey Police Academy. He spent his working life in public service as a law enforcement officer and retired as Detective for the Hudson County Police Department after serving twenty-five years. He was a Vice President of the Italian American Police Society and was a delegate of the New Jersey State PBA, local 51, and served as Vice President of the NJ State PBA. Mike was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Janet Benarick Ferraioli of the home; a son, Michael Ferraioli, Jr of Bolivia, NC; a daughter, Christine Ferraioli Amatucci and husband Captain Marc Amatucci: and two adored grandchildren, Vale and Beau Amatucci of Rutherford, NJ.

To honor his wishes, memorial services will be private.
