Melody (Kivett) Oldfield

Melody Oldfield, 60, of Southport, NC (St James Community) passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her home.

Born in Houston, TX, on April 7, 1964, Melody was a daughter of the late Melvin and Nancy Flynn Kivett.

She was the Assistant Vice President of University Relations & Marketing at Oregon State University until her retirement in 2023. Prior to that she worked at Wachovia bank in Atlanta.

Melody received her BA in Communications from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington in 1982 and a graduate certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University – Online.

Surviving are her loving husband, Darrell Oldfield, her mother Nancy and sister Susan Kivett.
