Mary Todd Fulwood, of Ocean Isle Beach, passed away May 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and success. She and her beloved husband of 53 years, Dennis Fulwood, built a thriving family business that became more than just a workplace—it was a gathering spot where friends and colleagues would stop by to catch up, share stories, and experience her warmth.
Mary and Dennis were true partners, not only in business but in all aspects of their lives. Their unwavering support for each other and shared vision helped them build a strong foundation, creating both a thriving company and a loving home filled with cherished memories.
Mary was born February 18, 1950, in Brunswick County to the late Gaston and Wilma Thomas Todd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mack Todd, and her sister, Betty Smith. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis, and her cherished sister, Ruby Bazen. She also leaves behind her three loving sons—Henry (Robin), David (Amanda), and Jeff (Amy)—who carry forward her values and spirit. Her grandchildren, Savannah K. Fulwood (Chris Osborne), Edward, Rachel, Mackenzie, and Sam—will remember her as a source of love and support.
Above all else, Mary had a deep love for children. She always knew everyone's kids and took an active interest in their activities and achievements. To honor her love and dedication, the family encourages donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers. Supporting this cause is a meaningful tribute to her lifelong care and interest in the well-being of children.
A time of visitation with the family will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in the Old Shallotte Baptist Church. and other times from the home of Henry and Robin Fulwood, 5899 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.
Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm, on Tuesday following the visitation.
Mary’s presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness, hard work, and family dedication will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
