Mary (Jaeger) Berry

Mary Ellen Jaeger Berry, age 82, from Marion, SC, passed away on June 24, 2024, in her son’s home in Ash, NC, near to her longtime home of Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

Mary was born August 17, 1941 as the youngest of three siblings.  She was married to Charles McLees Berry until his passing in 1974.  She never remarried.  She worked as a Registered Nurse until retirement and was very active in her community and church until her last few weeks.  Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McLees Berry, and her parents, Henry John Jaeger and Mary Howle Jaeger.

She is survived by siblings, Keith Jaeger and Janet Jaeger Kuhlmann; children, Cornelia McLees Berry and Clint Jaeger Berry; grandchildren Mary Hannah Miles, Charles Miles, Brandon Clewis, Courtney Clewis, and Conor Berry.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Camp United Methodist Church, Shallotte, NC. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Charles M. Berry in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion, SC at a later date.
