Kenneth Ray Simpson, Jr.

Kenneth Ray Simpson, Jr., age 67, of Southport, NC (Boiling Spring Lakes), passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at his home with loving family surrounding him.

Born in Houston, TX on November 30, 1956, Kenneth was one of four children born to the late Kenneth Ray Simpson, Sr. and Beatrice Merriman Simpson. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a son, Chad Simpson.

He was a talented and self taught Framer and worked many years in the Southport area in the construction trade. He was an accomplished woodworker and could build pretty much anything he wanted. Kenneth was a devoted member of Freedom Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Amanda Simpson, (Kurt Avramovich), Acworth, GA; a granddaughter, Kailey Sims; two sisters, Linda Landry of Boiling Spring Lakes, & Donna Hill; a brother, Duane Simpson (Patsy) of Southport; a niece, Crystal Smith; three nephews, Chance Simpson, Chris Simpson, & Dustin Simpson; and one great-niece, Ariana Simpson.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 13, 2024, in the Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

A visitation with the family will be on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024, in the Rolling Hills Cemetery, 4355 HWY, 92, Acworth GA 30102.
