Joy Parker Langdon, age 75, of Oak Island (formerly of Newton Grove and Coats) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Joy is the daughter of the late Sherman and Nora Best. She was predeceased by her brothers, Sherwood Parker
and Gary Parker, as well as her sister, Glenda Parker Langston, and her nephew, Bobby Langston, Jr.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bill Harrington of Oak Island; sister, Gale Davis-Smith of Dunn; her "little sister" Janet Langston Barefoot (Mike); her nephews, Parker Oliver (Tana), Ward Parker (Amber), Mike Parker; nieces, Dale Marsburn (Corbitt), Dean Rogers (Robby), Samantha Butts (Harold); her special great nephews, Grady Oliver, Easton Jernigan and Walker Jernigan.
Her funeral service will be held Sunday, March 1st. at 2 p.m. with a visitation from 1 - 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove, N.C., https://www.westanddunn.com/
