Johnny Clinton McQuay

Johnny Clinton McQuay, 76, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at his home with family by his side.

Born in Charlotte, NC on December 16, 1947, Johnny was one of four children born to the late Jess B. and Edna Lucille Maness McQuay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Wallace and brother, Randy McQuay.

Johnny spent his life in sales and was in the furniture business for many years.   He loved golf, seashell hunting and last but not least, his family.

Surviving are his loving wife of 30 years, Alexia Walker McQuay; two sons, Michael Blue (Nora), Greg Blue; a brother, Buck McQuay (Gail); a granddaughter, Hannah Marie Blue; nieces & nephews, Terry Frye (Al), Sharon Gantt (Lonnie, Ken Wallace, Scott McQuay (Lisa), Missy O’Daniel (Scott), Shannon McCoy (James), and his beloved fur baby, Ollie Mac McQuay.

The family will honor Johnny’s request and have a private Celebration of Life.
