Jimmy Ray Lewis Jr.

Jimmy Ray Lewis, Jr., age 55, of Ash, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at his home.

Jimmy was born in Durham, NC on July 26, 1970, and was the son of the late Jimmy Ray Lewis, Sr., and Bunny Sue Williams Muellerweiss. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two daughters, Taylor Lewis and Harley Lewis.

Surviving are his loving daughters, Kristen Lewis of Southport, NC and Haylee Lewis of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, and a loving son, Skylor Lewis. Jimmy is also survived by his sister, Lori Lewis and his brother Charles Williams. He will be dearly missed by a host of nieces and nephews who always loved their “Papa Jimmy,” along with his extended family and close friends.

Jimmy was also blessed with multiple beautiful grandbabies who brought great joy to his life.

Jimmy spent a large part of his life in the Southport area, where he built many memories and lasting relationships. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. He had a generous heart and a great sense of humor, making friends easily and being loved by many. He will be remembered for his quirkiness, his laughter, and his attention to detail.

Jimmy fought many battles throughout his life, but in the end, cancer took its toll. While his family is deeply distraught by his passing, they find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in the Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.

To honor his wishes, services will be private.
