James "Frank" Franklin Batten

James Franklin “Frank” Batten, 87, of Shallotte, NC formerly of Ridgeville, SC, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center, Brunswick House.

Born in Beulah Township, NC, Johnston County, he was a son of the late James P. and Minnie Elenora Talton Batten. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William Lindsay.

Frank was a proud US Navy veteran and was a retired marine mechanic having worked in the US Navy yard, Charleston, SC for many years.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Sharon Batten Mulholland and husband Kevin of Shallotte, NC; a brother, Fred Batten and wife Judy of Charlottesville, VA; a sister, Patricia Lindsay of Oak Island, NC; and a grandson, Seth Mulholland of Shallotte.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Thursday, June 23, 2022, in the Hillside Memorial Cemetery, US Highway 401, Laurinburg, NC with Military Honors.
