James “Jamie” Robert Haithcox, 79, of Supply, NC formerly of Asheboro, NC passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Brunswick House, following a time of declining health.
Born in Asheboro, NC on March 19, 1946, Jamie was a son of the late Norman and Eula Anthony Haithcox.
Jamie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a proud US Navy Veteran where he retired from the Navy with honorable mentions. Following his military retirement, he spent his years as a successful Building Contractor. He attended church at Highest Praise Church of Shallotte. Jamie enjoyed gospel hymns; his favorite being "Jesus Loves Me".
Surviving are his loving wife, Linda “Lynn” Ann Haithcox; a brother, Alvin Haithcox; daughters, Angela Berry and Anita Hooker; six beloved grandchildren, Ashley Knott, Brittany Hooker, Felecia Hooker, Celeste Pace, Aaron Nixon, C.J. Hooker, Jada Nixon and nine great-grandchildren.
We will miss his jokes, his advice, his warmth, and the laughter he brought to every occasion.
A celebration of life will take place at Russells Grove Baptist Church in Asheboro on December 6th at 1:00pm with military honors.
