Ignatius “Iggy” DiPeri, age 88, formerly of the Bronx, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 following a short battle with cancer. Ignatius was born in the Bronx, NY on June 17, 1935 to Frank and Benedetta DiPeri. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law Louis Bastone.

He will be fondly remembered as a “foodie” who loved nothing more than being with family and friends to enjoy big italian meals and telling jokes to get everyone laughing. He also enjoyed the beach, playing cards, music, and was an avid reader, especially history books.

Survivors include his daughter Denise Bertolino and husband Michael of Leland, NC, son Frank DiPeri of Westchester Metro NY NJ, his grandchildren Frank, Joseph, Brittany, and Anthony, great-grandchildren Leo and Zayn, his sister Betty Bastone of Pelham Manor, NY and nephews, Stephen and Louis Bastone, & niece Lisabeth Bastone.

To honor our father’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
