Henry Silks peacefully went to be with the Lord at home on January 6, 2025. Henry never met a stranger. He was always upbeat, encouraging, and joyful to his family, friends, and anyone he would meet. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and was a devoted man of God.
Born February 11, 1952 in Millersburg, PA, Henry was a former member of Millersburg Assembly of God and was active with Royal Rangers.
He was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church in Leland, NC where he was the Sunday School Director and served with the Brotherhood and children’s ministries. He genuinely loved all of his church family and was a prayer warrior for all.
He enjoyed hunting, sitting in the woods listening, and looking at God's beautiful creations. He loved fishing with his wife, daughter, son-in-law, brother, father-in-law, and grandkids.
Henry is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lisa Silks of Delco, NC; 5 siblings, Brenda Peck (Jim) of Halifax, PA, Leonard Silks (Donna) of Millersburg, PA, Dale Silks of Delco NC, Chester Silks (Dawn) of Millersburg, PA, Shirley Shumaker (David) of Carsonville, PA, and mother-in-law, Dianne Herb; 2 stepchildren Nicholas Mateer (Mary Noton) of Coal Township, PA and Melissa Drum (Tyler) of Delco, NC; 5 step grandchildren Aydan Mateer, Layla Mateer, Dominick Mateer, Khloe Noton, and Kaleb Noton; and several nieces and nephews that he loved.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18 from 5:00pm to 5:30pm in the Sanctuary at Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 832 Green Hill Rd NE, Leland, NC. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 5:30pm.
