Guy Hugh Wescott, Sr.

Guy Hugh Wescott, Sr., age 73, of Bolivia, NC passed away on Wednesday the twenty fourth of March 2021 in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Southport, NC on the third of November 1947, Guy was a son of the late Guy F. and Martha Lou Maggard Wescott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Evans. Mr. Wescott was retired from DuPont as an electrical engineer.

Surviving are his loving wife of fifty-five years, Gail Braddock Wescott of the home; two daughters, Brenda W. Christman and husband Wesley of Bolivia, NC, Judy W. Carter of Ash, NC; a son, Guy H. Wescott, Jr., of Bolivia; a brother, Mark A. Wescott and wife Candace of Bolivia; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted from the home of Ben Christman, 716 McKay Road, Bolivia, NC 28422 on Saturday, the twenty seventh of March 2021 at two o’clock in the afternoon.
