Gerald Anthony Egert

Gerald (Jerry) Anthony Egert, 82, of Supply, NC passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 14, 1941, Jerry was the son of the late Frank and Marie DePasquale Egert. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy A. (Egert) Partsch.

He was a member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church. Jerry spent his life in the food service industry, where he was an owner and food store manager for many years. Most recently he worked in his retirement at the produce department of the Food Lion in Holden Beach, NC, where he made many friends. Jerry was an avid lover of fishing, hunting, construction, and Buffalo Bills football.

Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Sylvia Monko Egert; a daughter, Bonnie Sigle; sisters, Nickie Cadille and Lori Kilmer; a brother-in-law, John Monko (Denise); grandchildren, Jessica, Rachelle, Jason; great-grandchildren, Ellie & Emma; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023 in the St Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Jerry’s honor be directed to the charity of your choice.
