Frances Geraldine (Cox) Bellamy

Frances Geraldine Bellamy, 97, died February 13, 2026, at the AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center North-Georgia in Cumming, GA. Geraldine was born on November 25, 1928, in Loris, SC to the late Olin Cox and Martha Todd Cox.

Geraldine worked various jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed trips to the library. Her faith was a big part of her entire life, and she especially found comfort in reading and memorizing scripture.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Ellis Bellamy Jr, her son Harold D. "Buster" Norris, her son Harold Delane Bellamy, her grandson Timmy Bellamy and her siblings Lula Hardee, Elmer Cox, Dula Prince, Mary Prince, Ausburn Cox, Virginia Williamson, and Alberta Tatum.

Geraldine spent most of her life in Brunswick County, NC, but spent the last twelve years in Dawsonville, GA with her daughter Melanie. She is survived by her children Melanie Long, Raymond “Lee” Bellamy, and Linwood Bellamy (Pat), her grandchildren Jeremy Norris (Shelly), Mallory Pearce (Wesley), Haylie Long, Joshua Long (Morgan), Samantha Bullock (Garrett), Dylan Bellamy and Regina Gales, and great grandchildren Colby Norris, Chase Norris, Easton Pearce, Evelyn Pearce, Elias Pearce, Ryan Long, Riley Long, Ramsey Long, Bella Bullock, Killian Bullock, Parker Bullock and Amrynn Bullock.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Ocean Isle Beach Chapel, 4 W 3rd St, Ocean Isle Beach NC 28469. A funeral service we be held at the same location at 2:00 p.m.

A graveside burial will follow the service at Bennett Town Cemetery located at 2206 Ash Little River Road, Ash, NC 28420.
