Eulalia Jacqueline Fulwood, 94, entered into Heaven on Sunday morning, April 20, 2025. She suffered physically from a gradual decline in health while being blessed with a sharp mind and quick wit.
Eulalia was born in Wilmington, NC on December 8, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Myrtie L. Atkinson and step-father, John Arnold. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Fulwood, two sons, James R. “Jimmy” Fulwood, Larry R. Fulwood, a grandson, Travis Fulwood, two brothers, Fred E. Arnold (Inge B.) and John Reid Arnold (Mary W.), a nephew, Thomas E. Arnold; and in laws, Manley Fulwood (Marion), Geneva F. Hewett (Curtis), Lucille F. Skipper (Waylon), Lena Olive Fulwood McLamb (Aaron).
Surviving are her children, Timothy W. Fulwood (Cornelia), Angie F. Green (Rick), Michael J. Fulwood, Henry Dale Fulwood (Audria), daughters in law, Wanda J. Fulwood, Holly T. Fulwood; grandchildren, Kelsey Fulwood, Tracey Brown (Jarrett), Lane Green (Hunter), Courtney Cooper (Paul), Madeline Fulwood, Jon Michael Fulwood, (Jade) Brandon Fulwood (Kristy), Lynsey F. Ganus (James Larry) Kris Fulwood, Elaine Fulwood; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a special longtime friend, Edith Pigott; and a team of ladies who provided a level of care that was unsurpassed and exemplary on many levels, Barbara Beaube, Angie Green, Cornelia Fulwood, Holly Fulwood, Wanda J. Fulwood, Latoya Steele, Tabatha Lee, and her medical team from Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 Am, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the Old Shallotte Baptist Church with The Reverend Rory Thigpen, Reverend Landis Lancaster and Reverend Jason Benton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.
A time of visitation with the family will be from her home (5886 Ocean Highway, W., Ocean Isle Beach, NC) on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Active pallbearers will be, Christopher “Chris” Heath, Jimmy Green, Lephus Pigott, Lane Green, Brandon Fulwood and Jon Michael Fulwood. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Fulwood, Jerry Fulwood, and Harvey Bell.
