Elizabeth “Betty” June Pratt, 98, of Calabash, NC (Hickman’s Crossroads Community) passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, with family at her bedside.
Born in Brown City, MI on December 2, 1926, Betty was one of four daughters born to the late Velda Isles Winter and her husband. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Morton F. Pratt; and two sisters, Jean Tombley and Shelby Wilcox.
Betty had a deep love for gardening, arts and crafts, sewing, and playing the piano. She found great joy in creating beauty with her hands and expressing herself through music. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and treasured the company of her friends.
Surviving are her two daughters, Dr. Robin S. Labod, and Jeffrey K. Bradley, Carol Bratt-Barber and husband, William G. Barber; a sister, Reva Winter; her four grandchildren, Hunter Pratt-Barber and fiancée, Amanda Kuhl, Danielle Sky Barber and fiancée, Michael Jones, Tyler Labod and wife Andrea Sofia Labod, Sarah R. Labod; four great grandchildren, Meric Pratt-Barber, Kellan Isla Barber, Isabella Sofia Labod and Natalia Sofia Labod.
Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Meals on Wheels for the extra attention and daily uplifting care and compassion shown to Betty.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
