Edmund Galloway Obituary

Edmund John Galloway, age 77, of Calabash, NC passed away on Friday the tenth of September 2021 in the Novant Health Brunswick Medical, Bolivia, NC.

Edmund was born in Rockville Centre, NY on the fifteenth of June 1944 to the late Donald Galloway, Sr. and Rosemary Cramer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Galloway, Jr. and Patrick Galloway.

Edmund was a very proud US Air Force and a US Air Force Air National Guard veteran. He was a retired lineman with LILCO and was also retired from Southwest Airlines. His hobbies included golf and deep-sea fishing; however nothing was more precious to him than his family that he loved very deeply.

“Honest Ed” as he was affectionately known is survived by his loving wife of 49 years (50 in October), Georgette Galloway; a son, Brian Galloway of Oswego, IL; a daughter, Jamie Galloway of Riverhead, NY; three grandchildren, Christopher Galloway, Matthew Galloway and Brody Fink and a host of extended family & friends too numerous to mention.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Please visit www.fulwoodfuneralservice.com for service date & times.

The family requests with gratitude that donations be made in Edmunds name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
