Eddie Levon Holden

Eddie Levon Holden, age 67 of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away Saturday the sixteenth of January 2021 at his home.

Eddie was born on the sixteenth of July, 1953 in Wilmington, NC to the late George Edwin Holden and Reverend L’lena Hewett Holden. He graduated from the North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC in 1973. Eddie was employed by Escod Industries of North Myrtle Beach, SC for many years. He was an avid sports fanatic enjoying college football, NFL and NASCAR. Eddie also enjoyed fishing, reading his bible and devotional. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Akylah. Eddie was also a cancer survivor.

In addition to his mother, Eddie is survived by his daughter, Ophelia Holden Anderson; one granddaughter, Akylah Anderson; his special “sister Cindy” Reed all of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; brothers, Greg Hewett (Joyce) of Mullins, SC, Audie Hewett (Sammie) of Ocean Isle Beach, and baby brother, Mark Holden (Lauren) of Ocean Isle Beach; several nieces and nephews.

A small private service will be held for family members only due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A memorial service for the public will be announced at a later date.

The family requests that donation be made in his name to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.

Due to health concerns, there will be no visitation at this time. However, cards of condolence may be sent to Ophelia Anderson at 6962 Reed Trail, NW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.
