Dewey Carroll Lovitt

Dewey Carroll Lovitt, age 73, of Supply, NC passed away on Tuesday the nineteenth of May 2020 in the Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, Bolivia, NC.

Born on Tuesday the twentieth of August 1946 in Brunswick County, NC, Dewey was a son of the late Joel Emory (Pet) and Ettie Clemmons Lovett of Supply. In addition to his parents, Dewey was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin Stanley, Vardell Lovett, Thomas Lovett, Jack Lovett, and his sisters, Inez Miles and Helen Holden. Dewey made his living building and repairing houses as well as working in the river fishing. Dewey was the happiest when he was spending time with family & friends and fishing.   

Surviving are a brother, Bobby Lovett and friend Shelby Horning of Supply; Special sisters-in-law, Gail Lovett of Civietown, Nellie Maultsby of Leland, NC, Brenda Lovett of Supply; Several nieces, nephews and special friends too numerous to mention.

The family will host a time of sharing fond memories and stories from two O’clock until four O’clock on Saturday the twenty third of May 2020 at 1335 Stanbury Road, Supply, NC 28462. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing guidelines will be the rule of the day.
