Delmar Frederick Burdick, Sr., 83, of Supply, NC passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in the Brunswick Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Bolivia, NC following a lengthy decline in health, surrounded by his loving family .
Born in Danbury, CT, on May 5, 1941, Delmar was a son of the late William Burdick, Sr., and Eleanor Stowe Burdick.
Mr. Burdick was a retired master auto and diesel mechanic.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 years, Dorothy “Dottie” Smith Burdick; a son Delmar Burdick, Jr., two daughters, Deborah Humes, Big Ernie Humes, Lisa Schramm and husband, Steven; Sherri Mooney who was raised by Dell and Dot, a sister, Harriett Ferrucci and husband Dennis; nine grandchildren, Gregory, Ernie, Alyssa, Myanda, Brandon, Payton, Tucker, Braxton, Adalyn; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Ryker, Easton, Reid, Ivy and one eagerly awaited great granddaughter arriving in June.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to car shows, going to the drag strip to watch his two grandsons, loved going fishing and the beach, loved gardening and he loved to tinker with things.
To honor his wishes, no services will be held.
