Debbie Lynn Kantner, 67, of Bolivia, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare's Brunswick House following a period of declining health.
Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on November 19, 1958, Debbie was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Shannon Borkey.
Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She worked for many years as a personal assistant and was known for her caring nature, generous heart, and willingness to help others. Debbie was a member of Generations Church, where she actively participated in a Small Group and cherished the friendships and faith community she found there. She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs, Harley and Biskit, and creating lasting memories with her family.
Surviving are her loving husband of 43 years, Charles “Charlie” William Kantner III; her son, Jon Kantner and wife Sara; her sister, Brenda Lutz and husband Michael; and seven cherished grandchildren.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at the family's discretion.
The family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made in Debbie's memory to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Brunswick House, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
May Debbie's memory live on through the love she shared, the family she cherished, and the many lives she touched throughout her life.
