David Ray LaHay, Sr.

David Ray LaHay, Sr, 73, of Shallotte, NC formerly of Desloge, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at his home with family by his side.

Born in St. Francois County, MO on June 8, 1951, Dave was a son of the late Raymond and Lorene Kinnard LaHay. Two brothers, Donald LaHay and Rodger Kinnard

He was a member of Spirit of Pentecost Church, Shallotte; and loved his Lord Jesus Christ and his family and friends very much.  Dave was a retired landscaper and was also an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, being near the ocean.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Mary LaHay of Shallotte, NC; five children, David LaHay, Jr. and wife Melissa of Park Hills, MO, Danny LaHay and wife Amy of Fair Hope, AL, Devin LaHay of Park Hills, MO , Courtney Olmstead and husband James of Farmington, MO, Brooke Trowbridge and husband Bryce of Farmington; his grandchildren, Baylie McCormick, Ty LaHay, Carrisa LaHay Broombaugh, Corey LaHay, Anna Mae LaHay, Bella LaHay, sibling, and Shirley Goforth, of Park Hills, MO

In keeping with his wishes, services will be private and held at a later date.
