David Ray Carte

David Ray Carte, age 74, of Shallotte, NC passed away on Friday, the eighteenth of December 2020 after a brief illness.

David was born in Charleston, WV on the seventeenth of July 1946 to the late William James Carte and Phyllis Smith Carte Perrine of Elkview, WV. In addition to his father Dave was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Sharon Carte in October of this year and a brother Dennis Carte.

Dave was a multi-talented man who had a deep appreciation and talent of music, he was self-taught and could play many different instruments. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle as well as playing golf, he was an avid reader and could often be found listening to the Lawrence Welk Show.

Surviving are his mother, Phyllis Perrine of Elkview, WV; a loving son, William “Bill” Carte and wife Kimberly of Supply, NC; two brothers, Tom Carte and wife Barbara, Clarence Carte and wife Kathy; a sister, Linda Birchfield and husband Scott and two grandchildren, Isaac and Gabriel Carte.

To honor Dave’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
