Darlene (Flowers) Buffkin

Darlene “Dixie” Flowers Buffkin, 69, of Shallotte, NC passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, “Brunswick House” following a lengthy illness.

Born in Lumberton, NC, on July 19, 1956, and was a daughter of the late William Martin and Doris Lee Flowers. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Tonya Lee Buffkin and husband, Stoney Wayne Buffkin.

Surviving are her son, Richard Buffkin; grandson, Austin Dale Norris; a son-in-law, Darrell White; daughter-in-law, Lea Buffkin; and numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
