Cindy Lee (White) Ward

Cindy Lee White Ward, age 56, of Sunset Beach, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday the twentieth of September 2021 after a lengthy struggle with the Covid 19 virus.

Cindy was born in Southport, NC on Sunday the tenth of January 1965 and was a daughter of the late Dalton and Vera Lee Andrews White.

She attended West Brunswick High School until the love of her life, Dewayne Ward, swept her away and married her when they were sixteen and seventeen years old. Their relation ship began in the second grade and continues to this day. They were married for almost forty years.  

Cindy was a devoted member of the Emmanuel Outreach Church where she served at treasurer for several years. She worked in the family business, Clifton Seafood and loved to travel and enjoyed cruising especially. She was deeply devoted to her family and dearly loved her role as wife, mother and grandmother. She will fondly be remembered as a mother figure to many people in her life.

Surviving are her husband and soul mate, Dewayne Ward; three sons, Matthew Ward (Leanna) of Sunset Beach, Jonathan Ward (Melinda) of Nakina, Jason Ward (Gabby) of Calabash; two loving sisters, Janet W. Helton of Longwood, Rosemary Baker of Ash; eight grandchildren, Avery, Ellie, Thomas, Bentley, Ryder, Penelope, Steven and Veronica Brooke.

Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday the twenty fourth of September 2021 in the Emmanuel Outreach Church with The Reverend Robert Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
