Chad Robert Herdic, age 49, of Shallotte, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his home following a time of declining health.
Chad was born in Manchester, CT., on August 28, 1975, and was a son of Robert “Bob” Charles and Patricia Badger Herdic.
Chad graduated from Manchester High School, Manchester, Ct. in 1992.
Chad was a skilled carpenter, could fix or make almost anything. He repaired and maintained equipment at the family business, CSI, Inc. Calabash, and renovated homes and businesses. He loved to mountain bike, fish- both salt and fresh waters. He often took his boat in the intercoastal waterway and the ocean.
Chad was a creative artist and shared his talent with family and friends.
Surviving are his parents, Bob and Pat Herdic of Carolina; Shores, NC; his two daughters, Brianna Reese (15) and Teagan Lily (13). He also leaves behind his brother, Justin James Herdic, sister-in-law Elisabeth and 4 nieces and nephews- Addisyn;, Landon, Hadly and Kellan. Chad loved his work, fishing, and building but his two girls were the love of his life.
A memorial service will be conducted at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 805 11th Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, SC, on Saturday January 11th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Carolina Shores POA Club House, 17 Lakeview CT., Carolina Shores, NC, immediately following the service.
The family requests with gratitude that donations be made in Chad’s memory to The Lord’s Food Pantry, @ SBIC, 3610 Express Dr., Shallotte, NC. Where the entire family had volunteered over the years, especially during the holidays.
