Brenda Joyce (Mullis) Mongold

Brenda Joyce Mongold, 82, of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in the McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River, SC following a lengthy illness.
Born in Alexander County, North Carolina on October 27, 1942, and was a daughter of the late Augustus Paul and Mary Lee Kennedy Mullis. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband David E Mongold, brother Charles Mullis and longtime companion Raymond Dewitt. 
Surviving are her beloved sons, Christopher D Mongold, wife Laurie of Hagerstown, MD; Robert Dale Mongold, Delaware, Charles Jonathan Mongold, wife Mary of Brunswick, MD; twos brothers, Wayne Lynn Mullis, wife Jerilyn of Sunset Beach, NC and Roger Mullis, wife Patsy of Concord, NC. One sister, Paula Donaldson, husband Jim of Knoxville, TN. Sister in Law, Sandra wife of deceased brother Charles Mullis
Brenda loved being a grandmother to six grandchildren, Scott, Elizabeth, Ashley, Brittany, Kaylee, Austin and great grandmother to three great grandchildren, Bennett, Walker and June
A celebration of life service will be Monday, October 27, 2025 at 10 a.m. In Sunset Beach, on the beach, near the peir.
