Andrew “Andy” Paul Katalinic, 83, of Bolivia, NC passed away on Sunday October 29, 2023 in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care, “Brunswick House”.
Born in Burgaw, NC, Andy was the last of three children born to the late Pete and Mary Bisted Katalinic. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Katalinic and Marie Gould.
Andy moved from Burgaw to Greensboro, NC to work in construction. He has many buildings with his stamp on them. The Governmental center in Greensboro, The Koger centers in Greensboro, Charlotte, Columbia SC, Myrtle Beach, SC and several other locations. He worked himself from Engineer to Project Manager. His reputation was and is "Built on time, on budget and small if any punch list."
He had a great sense of humor. He loved his family. And never met a stranger. He was a NC Highway Patrolman. He has been a surveyor in the mountain areas. Loved to scare people with his tales of snakes and other critters he ran into doing his job. He was a member of PCEA (Professional construction estimator of America.)
He was forever building things around home, loved his raised gardens. He was a truly devoted husband and father and friend.
I could write on and on about this wonderful man. I miss him so much. I feel my heart is broken beyond repair. But I believe in time our remembered love will help to heal.
Surviving are his loving wife of Fifty-three years, Patricia “Pat” Holt Katalinic; children, Joseph Kiser (Susan), Ron Kiser (Sheila), Larry Kiser (Deanne), Paul Katalinic (Marion), Allen Katalinic, Pamela Katalinic; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A private gathering of family and friends will be held.
