Albert "Al" Siekman Obituary

Albert Joseph “Al” Siekman, age 75, of Bolivia, NC formerly of Wrentham, MA passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Al was born in Somerville, MA, on the seventh of August 1945 to the late Aloysius Clement and Estelle Marie Forte Siekman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt & uncle, Alberta and Harley Myers of Harwich, MA. Al loved his country; One of the things that Al was most proud of was having served in the Army from 1968-1974. He was an electrician by trade and retired in 2005 after thirty-three years of service. Al was a member of Local 103 IBEW, Boston, MA and the Lions Club of Wrentham, MA and Bolivia, NC. He was the ultimate Boston sports fan and was enormously proud about working on the lights at Fenway Park. Al and his beloved wife Mary relocated to Bolivia, NC in 2008 in search of the sun after living and working outside in the cold New England weather.  Al loved his family, and he was his happiest when his family was all together. He was a man of many nicknames, Al, Alby, Uncle Al, Grampy, P, and Dad. He enjoyed his days on the beach and golf course. So many of his friends and family will have fun memories of sharing a beer with Al, whether it’s in the backyard, a pub crawl, in the driveway, at the beach or a brewery. Surviving are his loving wife of almost 50 years, Mary Siekman; children, Laura Canon and husband James of Windsor Locks, CT, David Siekman and wife Carol of Norwood, MA, Stephen Siekman and wife Chimene LaRoche of Millis, MA; siblings, Thomas Siekman and wife Pam of Asheville, NC, Nancy Siekman and her daughter, Nicole Hyde of Marstons Mills, MA; grandchildren, Grace and Isabella Canon, and Charlotte, Joseph and Daniel Siekman, as well as countless nieces and nephews. A private gathering to celebrate Al’s life and memory will be held by his family and closest friends. The family requests with gratitude that donations be made in his memory to Wrentham Lions Club, PO Box 486, Wrentham MA 02093 or to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Online condolences are encouraged and may be sent to the family at www.fulwoodfuneralservice.com
