Willie Carnell Hewett, Sr., age 77, of Supply, NC passed away on Monday the twenty ninth of March 2021 in the Waccamaw Community Hospital, Murrells Inlet, SC.

Born in Brunswick County, NC on the twenty fourth of September 1943, Mr. Hewett was a son of the late Willie Howard and Pearlie Bernard Hewett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Hewett, a brother, Alvin Hewett and three infant siblings.

Willie was a longtime member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC and was a 32゜Master Mason and a member of the Winnabee Masonic Lodge # 786, Supply, NC.

Surviving are his loving wife of forty six years, Geneva Perry Hewett of the home; two sons, Dwight Robinson and wife Tannika of Shallotte, Noris Gause and wife Yolanda of Leland, NC; a daughter, Carnella Alston of Hampton, VA; a brother, John Hewett of Little River, SC; two sisters, Della Gore and Marion Johnson both of Supply; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at ten o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the seventh of April 2021 in St. Brendan Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Riley Hewett Cemetery.

The family requests with gratitude that donations be made in his name to St Brendan Catholic Church, POB 2984, Shallotte, NC 28459 or the Winnabee Masonic Lodge at PO Box 636, Supply, NC 28462.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Hewett, John Hewett, Charlie Hewett, Billy Gore, Andrew Gause and Jordan Gause.
